Bringing the World to The Bronx and The Bronx to the World
Posted on April 4th, 2014
I was born in The Bronx. I grew up in The Bronx, so I feel an affinity for the Bronx Documentary Center. And as they’re trying to raise money for one year of programming, I am here to implore you to join me in contributing to make this happen. They are only a couple of thousand dollars from their goal.
This is the only place of its ind in New York, started by photographer Michael Kamber, and has hosted some incredible events, shows, talks and lectures. They are dedicated to the community and are looking to add an after-school program for the kids in the neighborhood.
I could tell stories and get quite poetic about why BDC is important, but you all know they are. So add in your $10 or $15 or $20 or more and support the people and the institution that is the Bronx Documentary Center.
